Now that we are in November and as of last week, the growing season is pretty much over. It’s a weird time as a gardener. You’ve poured so much energy into tending to the plants all spring and summer long and then all of a sudden, it’s gone! New things are on the horizon for Boise Backyard Gardens and I’m so excited to share with you soon, but for now, let’s see how this year has gone for us.
2023 will forever be a big year for us. This is the year that we really put forth the effort to do BIG things with our little business.

In January, I attended a virtual conference for “Foodscapers.” This really lit a fire under me and fanned the flame of Edible Landscaping that I had burning in me already.
It was a great time of being inspired and furthering education in the permaculture and edible landscaping world!
From Late January thru April, I started literally thousands of plants in our basement..

This lead us to our first plant sale in mid May!

Over the summer, we attended the Meridian Main Street Market and the Capital City Public Market which was so much fun! We got to meet so many of you and we sent out many, many plants into the wild to feed families in the Treasure Valley.

Thank you to those that supported us as we grow! We look forward to a great 2024!
