Wyldewood Elderberry

The harvest season is two and three weeks later than other major cultivars. Wyldewood has high vigor. The new primocane stems will yield fruits in the following year. Plants are productive with large cymes of fruit. Hardiness Zones 3-8. Plant spacing is 6 feet from other elderberry bushes.

Elderberry syrup is made to treat colds, coughs and other upper respiratory ailments. Elderberries can be made into jam, jelly, wine, juice, syrup or pies.

Berries must be cooked before consuming. 

Needs a pollinator of a different elderberry variety.
